      Brown. - At the home of his daughter, Mrs, F. E. Green, 57 Grove st., Sunday July, 17th, John Robert Brown, aged 73 years, 10 months, 17 days.

      Mr. Brown was born in London in 1831, and came to America, when ten years old. For a while he resided in D'Sarph (sic - Dalserf), Scotland. Here he lived near his cousin, Robert Livingston, the great African explorer. In 1862 he married Miss Jennie Dutcher. He lived in the south till after the war, then came to Ft. Atkinson in 1867, where he has since resided. He left two children, Mrs. F. E. Green of this city, and Mr. Edward Brown of Marshalltown, Iowa. The funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. John Reynolds of the M E. church. The bearers were Wm. Dawe, Harry Ebbott, Wm. Chadwick, Henry Farnsworth. The remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetary.

      From the death date and age, his birthdate is calculated to be Aug 30, 1830.
