Be it remembered; That on this fifth day of January A.D. 1862, at the residence of Joseph Brown in the Town of West Bend, personally appeared before me, J.S. Lord, a minister of the Gospel; Mr. George Hatch a white person a son of A. M. Hatch and of E.C.M. Hatch now a resident of the village of Waukesha, state of Wisconsin, born at Winsoe, Vermont on the ____ day of ______ 1828, a druggist by occupation, and Miss Elisabeth Brown, a white person, a daughter of Joseph Brown and of Ann Brown now a resident of West Bend, County of Washington born at Notingham, England on the ____ day of ______ A.D. 1837, and presented themselve to be Joined in Marriage whereupon one of the paries was duly examinined and not finding any legal objection to the marriage of said parties, in the presence of D.L. Rix of the Town of Polk and of Elisa Maxon of the Town of Polk.
I united in the Bans of Matrimony the said Geo. Hatch & Elisabeth Brown.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this the 6th day A.D. 1862.
